Put on an event. Get a guest list and a website with it.
Posting an event is the same gesture as posting anything else. What you get back is a page people can take a place on, a list of who did, and a site of your own to put it all on.
Posting
An event is a post with a place count.
Everything an event needs is on one form, and nothing is public until you say so.
- A title, a cover photo and an album, a pin on the map, a kind, and how many can come.
- It is a draft until you publish it, and only you can see a draft.
- Change anything until it starts. Everybody holding a place is told.
- Take it down when plans change, or delete it. A deleted event can be restored.
The guest list
Know who is coming before they arrive.
Every place taken is a name on your list. The cap holds: the last place goes to one person, however many go for it at once, and you can never lower the cap below the places already taken.
Your site
A website of its own, built from blocks.
Every organizer gets a site. Its pages are built in a visual editor, and the events on them are read from the app every time somebody visits, so the site is never out of date.

Any picture or video a section sits on gets a Look: blur, light, a colour wash, a fade and a vignette, with presets to start from. And a Take part button on the site works there: a visitor signs in once, in a small window, and holds their place without leaving your page.
Your own domain
Your site, at your address.
Every site has an address of its own the moment it exists. Point a domain you own at it, and it answers there too, with its own certificate.
- Up to three domains on one site.
- Prove each one with a DNS record or two at your registrar. The site tells you exactly what to add.
- The site checks the record itself and switches the domain on when it is there.

What posting does, and does not, do today.
What does posting cost?
Nothing. Posting, publishing, the guest list and the site builder are all free, and nothing in the app takes a payment.
Can I cap the number of places?
Yes. Give an event a capacity and it stops taking places when it is full; the database enforces it, so the cap holds even when two people go for the last place at once. You can raise it later, and lower it down to the number already taken.
Can I see who is coming?
Yes. Every event you put on has a guest list of the people holding a place, and only you can see the full list.
Can I change an event after publishing it?
Yes, until it starts. Change the time, the place or anything else, and everybody holding a place is told. You can also take a published event down, and delete one you no longer want.
Can visitors take a place from my own site?
Yes. The Take part button on your site works there: a visitor signs in once, in a small window, and holds their place without ever leaving your page.
Can I sell tickets?
Not today. Every place is free, and there is no payment system. Paid tickets are the direction the product is heading, and this page will say so when they exist.
